For many years, Stillwater Art Guild Gallery hosted an annual event called, the Da Vinci Fest, which continues to serve the St. Croix Valley area schools. At this point, our gallery has no more room to display the quantity of award winning work from this wonderful program. Because we are committed in encouraging and mentoring students who are passionate about the arts, we have saved a small gallery space to be used by students who are selected by their art teachers. We are hoping to have two or three students at a time displaying their art in our gallery.

For information or for nominating your favorite student artist, email us at

Our exhibit has these goals:

  • Teaching students how to prepare for a show, ie. matting, framing, etc.
  • Encouraging them to create a body of their work so that they are able to find their style
  • Showing them how to present and display their work at a gallery.

We would be happy to hold a reception for these students. This will give students the experience that an art exhibit offers incoming artists.

A Reception will be held for Stillwater High School Junior, Andrea Kaiser on Saturday, March 7th at 1:00pm. Andrea is an aspiring artist who enjoys using acrylics and oils. She loves painting and isn’t shy about expressing it. This reception is open to the public. Please join us at the gallery and experience the exuberance of youthful passion.

On February 16th, a reception was held to welcome 8th grade artists, Paige and Gianna, to the gallery. Many family, friends, artists and patrons attended to meet with these two aspiring artists and visit with them about their artwork.  Cookies and punch, handshakes and talk, not to mention the enjoyment seeing the excitement in these young students’ eyes as they told about their art experience.
