Medium: Painting, Fabric And Fiber (Dyed Silk)
Being raised near Como Park in St. Paul, MN, I developed my love of nature. Living in Arkansas, Montana, and areas in between, the artist in me looked for the beauty in each location. I pursued studying watercolor in Montana and Minnesota, exhibiting and receiving awards in it and amateur photography. Returning to Minnesota I’ve studied silk dying and experimenting with techniques, materials and uses. I earned a B.S. at the University of Minnesota and later a M.A.C.E. from Bethel University Seminary.
I continue in my fascination and love of God’s continuing creation. Nature and faith are evident in my art. Bright, full colors emerge as the dyes and the silk combine and inspire me. I am currently a member of the Carbon County Arts Guild, exhibiting in their Red Lodge, Montana Depot Gallery, as well as the Stillwater Arts Guild Gallery.
