I have always been art driven and have had a passion for all mediums. My main focus for most of my life has been textiles, fiber arts, weaving, quilting and garment construction.
Living in Minnesota leads one to bond with nature and all the beauty it offers. Long walks during covid gave me the time to slow down and really look around me. I started foraging and collecting leaves, wildflowers, sticks and rusty things along my path.
Eco Printing creates prints of leaves, using the natural pigments, tannins and acids present in leaves, by combining them with mordants, moisture and heat on paper or fabric. Eco printing is an exciting experiment every time I print, not really knowing what will appear.
