• Gallery Group – This informal group meets the second Tuesday of each month for lectures, demonstrations an, sometimes  hands-on activities all of which are pertaining to different aspects of art.  These small educational experiences are stimulating and focussed on learning to hone an artist’s ability to create new artworks. Every Gallery Group is open to all artists  and art lovers in the general public. All events are free.

 

  • Evening Lectures/Class – From time to time, our gallery hosts an artist who gives an evening class. Information on these classes is advertised on Facebook and Instagram.

 

Presenting: Sharon Wieser – Master Artist

On Tuesday, March 10, 2020, Sharon Weiser will present a lecture/demonstration on a new technique using acrylic paints.  This gallery event is free to the public and will begin at 6:15pm and end at 7:45pm.

Sharon is a  native of Wisconsin, She received her BFA and K-12 teaching certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1977.   Before moving to phoenix in 1992, she taught 2 years in the Art and Design Department at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. For the past 35 years she has conducted classes and workshops in Wisconsin, Arizona, Minnesota, and New Mexico.   

Her award-winning paintings have been in numerous shows and galleries including American ArtistThe Artist’sPhoenix Home and Garden, and Cowboys & Indians magazines. Room Art and Public Space Art are among the many commercial interior design projects that she has completed.  Clients include Ramada Inn, Quality Inn, Days Inn, Holiday Inn, Best Western, and the Coral and Island Princess Cruise Ships.

 

 

In 2011, Sharon moved from Phoenix, AZ to Stillwater,  MN and opened her Studio/Gallery, where she teaches classes in drawing, painting and color theory. She believes that anyone can paint. Her passion to inspire that talent creates a supportive, positive experience in the classroom where all students can achieve the joy of painting. Presenting: Bob Lyksett – Photography

On Tuesday, April 14, 2020, Bob Lyksett will talk about how to compose a picture and how to  adjust for values. He will discuss how to prepare a photo for printing as a copy of the original.  Bob will also touch on camera lenses and photographing your own artwork for printing with adjustments for quality.
