Monica Helland is an artist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Monica received a BFA in Graphic Design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2010, and has balanced her time as a graphic designer and printmaker ever since.
As a printmaker, Monica loves the intersection of folklore and visual design, and particularly enjoys capturing specific monsters and nightmare themes from folktales in her work. She is the co-director of North Star Printmakers Studio, located in the Casket Arts building, where she designs and screen prints her creations.
