The author and poet Alice Walker said “In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect.” I love this idea. The natural world is amazing, too beautiful in fact to really nail down, but it is a great pleasure to try. Watercolor, an unruly medium, lends itself well to this effort. I can have a plan, but much like nature, watercolor has a plan of its own. I do my best to capture the world I see and experience, but in the end, water wins, paint wins and hopefully, perfectly imperfect nature wins. Thank you so much for having a look at my work.
