I find inspiration for my work in nature, from my gardens and on daily walks. Each season provides expressive moments to capture on paper. Some of these images are imagined and others simply altered from the realistic sense. All are created through observation. The mezzotints process begins with creating a rough surface (etching) across the copper plate. Using drawing tools the plate is carved to reveal a particular imagine. The plateis inked and wiped and passed through the printing press transferring the ink onto a cotton fiber paper.
