Randall has resided in Stillwater, MN all of his life. He, his wife and three daughters,  reside in a rural setting surrounded with the natural beauty of the St. Croix Valley.  The historic value of his hometown inspires him to create the realistic beauty that typifies Randall’s work.

Randall’s expertise is in using acrylics, but he also enjoys oils, pastels, serigraphs and airbrushing. His style ranges from photo-realism, surrealism and abstraction. He credits his success to 40 years of painting experience, along with formal studies in fine arts at the Atelier Institute of Fine Arts in Minneapolis and a Graphic Arts Degree from St. Paul Technical Vocational Institute.

Randall has been guest artist on a various cable programs, i.e., Accent of Minnesota Artists, The Bob Tech Show, Valley Insight Show and Channel 5 Quick Draw Contest.

This talented artist has many accomplishments: Green Wing Legacy Paint Artist 1992, Pheasants Forever Artist for Dane County, Wisconsin 1993, St. Paul Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year 1994, 1995, and 1997, White Wind Wildlife Society Artist of the Year 1998 and 1999, Minnesota Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year 2004, A Life Art Show, a retrospective 2007, Map Works II, “The Eight” Exhibitions shown in Bloomington Art Center and at the Carnegie Library Art Gallery in Stillwater, MN 2009. Two city of Stillwater awards 2007 and 2015 from HCP. He was commissioned to design and paint an original for print for the Stillwater Veterans Memorial 2015. He was also commissioned to design and paint an original for print for the Minnesota Medal of Honor Memorial held on the Capitol grounds 2016.

Art collectors throughout the world have collected Randall’s work for years.  His paintings have been in many galleries in both the United States and in Canada. Locally, his work can be seen at the Stillwater Art Guild Gallery in Stillwater, MN. Randal is founder and co-owner of the gallery which he started in 1999. He has been in galleries in Santa Fe, NM, in Milwaukee, WI, Duluth, MN and in White Bear Lake, MN.
